I'm a friend of the B-29 Radio Project and volunteer Graphics Grunt/web editor. Just a casual aviation enthusiast myself, I'm happy to pass on your technical, operational and historical questions and observations to appropriate members of this group of distinguished avionics professionals who happen to be very good eggs.
Aside from being a lifelong ham radio operator minus a forty year sabbatical, I worked over twenty years in aerospace/telecom manufacturing for what's now Parker/Chomerics in Woburn MA by day and drew non-ham comics at night for alternative weekly papers in New York, Boston, Baltimore/DC and San Diego during the later 20th century.
I'm retired and have been drawing webcomix based on my character Dash! The Dog-Faced Ham at dashtoons.com since 2005.
And now this.
Dash! and I are still recovering from the shock and awe of being invited to join a team of Collins hams.
This make it easier to cope with not becoming Davy Crockett when we grew up.
